In the
1900 census, Mary's middle initial is shown as "A.". She is noted as unmarried, and able to read and write. Per JWE page 40, Elizabeth married late in life to Sonny Mitchell. There were no children.Kentucky Cemetery records (see John B. Clark file) show Mary E. Mitchell buried between Joseph N. Ethington, and Sammie and Agusta H. Ethington. Will assume that this is Mary Elizabeth, who married Sonny Mitchell. Dates on that stone are 1869 - 1934.

"Uncle Riley Clark had a lot of pride in being able to work just as hard as any other man. However, as he grew older, he would soon lag behind the younger men while hoeing cotton. Rather than stay behind, he would exclaim: "Jimeny Jimeny, if I can't keep up I'll put my hoe on my shoulder and walk up!". And that's precisely what he did!"Additional Ordinance dates:

RILEY CLARK AND MISS ALDREDGE HAD SEVERAL CHILDREN PER JWE PAGE 41.
First name of "Sis" from Mary Ann Clark, daughter of Chester Clark. In the 1900 census Anna states that she has given birth to 3 children, all of whom are living. They would be Walter, Leonard, and Raimy. Daughter named "Ressie" (from Chester Clark) will be combined with daughter "Raimy" since there are only three children from wife Anna.

HENRIETTA ETHINGTON IS THE SECOND WIFE OF HENRY BAKER. - JWE PAGE 41
CENSUS:
HENRY CO KY 1870IT IS ASSUMED THAT HENRY BAKER WAS BORN IN HENRY KY. NO PROOF.
Henry Baker's first family was incorrectly sealed to him and his second wife Henrietta Ethington. This work was done on 28 Oct 1989 at JRIVE. Information now shows that this was his older family, wife's name not known at this date. The older children will be re-sealed to Henry and Mrs. Baker, and the younger children will be sealed to Henry and Henrietta. Sealing date of 28 Oct 1989 for first family is invalid and will be removed from each child's record.

23 Dec 1994A will for one Henry Baker who died in 1835 has been found in the Henry County will books (book 6 page 66, film # 828,248). He names his son, John Henry Baker. It appears that this John Henry Baker could be the same man as Henry Baker, husband of Henrietta Ethington, but there is no direct connection.
Henry Baker, husband of Henrietta Ethington is not known to have used the initial "J.", and he is not referred to as "John". Need further information. Will file the will in the Henrietta Ethington file.
