Dear Donna,
I am astonished. I have lunch at least twice a month with Wayne Kent Ethington, son of Gilbert and Leila, and we have talked numerous times about Donnie, and the hunting accident. Never once has Wayne mentioned that Donnie was married, or that he had a family! Your son Keith was only a year old when Donnie was killed. I wonder why Wayne did not know about this.
Be that as I may, I am so glad to know of you and your place in the family. I will get this information into the database, then print out a complete family tree for you to have. Feel free to copy it for your boys and distribute as you see fit.
I knew Ken, and had dinner with Hay and Lucy over in Denver just a few months ago. Again, Hay has never mentioned that Donnie left a family. Go Figure!
I will get on this, and get something to you quickly. Many health problems here for my wife, but will try to get it done soon.

I had written you about our family connection, and obviously the break-down was in my response. I went back through my "sent" messages and did not find my response, so I will try again. My apologies. I've been eagerly awaiting a reply and I'm assuming you were also.
I am the widow of Donald Edward Ethington - brother of Ted, Ken and Hay. Don was born on June 1, 1934, and is buried in Nicholas County, KY. He was killed on October 22, 1960, in Ogden, Utah, while deer hunting. He of course was the son of Gilbert Ethington.
Our son is Milton Keith Ethington, born on Nov. 18, 1959, in Lexington, KY. He goes by the name of "Keith". Keith, his wife, Lola, who goes by the nickname of "Kitten" reside in Harrodsburg, KY. Keith is a Fish & Wildlife Officer for the state of KY and Kitten is a K4 teacher at the Calvary Christian School.
Keith has three sons: Zachary Grant Ethington - born on April 25th, 1986; Evan Brice Ethington - born on March 30th, 1989; and Owen Van Parker Ethington - born on December 26th, 1990. I'll enclose an attachment of a picture taken last month on our camping trip to the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee.
Thank you for your response. I will get in touch with Wayne. I knew he lived in Salt Lake City, but I thought the girls may still be somewhere in the Lexington area. Family is a very important part of life and I would like for Keith & his family to be able to meet some of the Ethington family. Again, I cannot thank you enough. Don was my first, (and the most wonderful) love of my life. He lives in my heart every day.....! What a terrible tragedy and loss!
