Apparent duplicate Ordinance:

Peter Simpson was fire chief of San Antonio Texas during WW I. He also worked
with the police force. He did not marry. From Ethie Hemple notes:
"Brother Peter Louis Simpson born Jan 7th, 1883."Went by Louis.
Death dates from original records, Fayette Co Courthouse, June 1994.
Says Peter G. was 30.11.17 years old. I'm guessing this is him. D.
14 Feb
1911, bd would be about March 31, 1880. Not him. Have a newspaper clipping which says he got a pension when he was 65 from the police department. Says he was a fireman before he joined the police department. Was with them for 25 years.Never married. Pearl said Louis and Pete are the same person. He was with the police dept. in San Antonio. When WWI broke out, he was the fire
chief of San Antonio. Went into police dept when he got back.SS Death Index has a Louis Simpson born 6 June 1892, died Jul 1969.
This
seems a little late to be this Simpson, but it might be a son.
Palestine,
Anderson, TX. Check localities. There is also a Louis Simpson born 15 Aug
1897, died Nov 1972 which is definitely too late. Mexia, Linestone, TX.
Another born 11 Aug 1909, died Jan 1974 no death residence given. None of these are him.Newspaper clipping that he pulled a man off the railroad tracks before a
passenger train.Never had children, never got married.
Information received by Evelyn Ethington Townsend from Ruby Mitschke shows that
Lewis Simpson did marry to Katie Hall on 23 Dec 1908. Reference is given as
Book F, page 189, but the county is not given. Need further information. Will
enter Katie Hall as wife to Peter Louis Simpson.
