This county (McMinn) found in Tennessee while driving from Atlanta GA to Knoxville TN Sunday 18 Oct 1998. This route taken becuse I had missed my flight from Salt Lake City to Knoxville on Saturday 17 Oct 1998, and had to fly to Atlanta and drive there. I drove north out of Atlanta on I-75, but just before Chattanooga, decided to jump off and take US11, which ran Northeast along the Smokey Mountains. It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon, and I knew it would be a pleasant drive. I had travelled about 30 miles on Route 11, when I glanced to my right and saw in the bushes a small sign that said: "Welcome to McMinn County". I laughed. The Lord has his ways!.Upon returning home, I submitted the Blizard family for temple work, and it was accepted and done on Saturday, the 5th of December, 1998.
