This is a record of Thomas Everett Willhoite's ancestry. His grandfather,
Tobias Willhoite was born in Germnay in 1768. He migrated from Germany to New
York. Tobias was married to Nancy Ellis in 1789 (unknown as to connection with
Ellis Island). On or about 1795, they bought about 200 acres from the government and Indians in an area about three miles north of Monterey in the
county of Owen, Kentucky.

Bruce Arnold was not a son but her brother: John Bruce Arnold (Oct 22 1853 - Nov 22 1922. He was an officer in the Spanish American War. He had one son, John Bruce Jr., who was a graduate of John Hopkins Univeristy. He was a military doctor in WW 1, and married a French nurse and remained overseas.

Per 1900 Shelby Co KY census, birth is Feb 1881. Will use this date since it fits with the order in the 1900 census.
Census: In the 1910 Shelby Co census, Robert Lee Ethington, age 29, is living with his mother, brothers and sisters next to the Thompson family. Robert is single. In the Thompson family is a daughter named Mildred, age 17. She also is single. I will assume that this is the same Mildred Thompson who married Robert Lee Ethington in about 1918 until proof to the contrary.
