Served as a private in the Americah Revolution, Virginia Line, pension started
13 Feb 1819 at age 69, died 27 Aug 1831. Living in Scott County KY.
Served in
Capt William Barret's Company, light dragoosn, he was in the battle of Camden,
Cowpens, Guliford Court House, Eutaw Springs, and continued in the serfvice
until 12 Jun 1782 or 1783. He was married in Orange County Virginia.See Gordon Remington report on Charles Neal Family in possession of HDE. See

some places it appears to be a "T.", and in others it is taken for an "F.".A Thomas Etherington is found in the IGI marrying Margaret Neal, 6 Feb 1833 in
Switzerland County IN. The age is about correct for this to be Thomas, the son

In the Indiana State Library Mortality Index (WPA), a Thomas Etherington is
found who died in Switzerland County IN in 1880. Reference is 5/441. (HE
research trip to IN/IL May, 1991).A Thomas Ethington is found in Hendricks County IN together with John Ethington
and wife Polly in 1840. He is not identified.Note the Thomas does not appear in any of the Owen County KY guardian actions
