Claudia Lee JONES

Friday, April 24, 2009
My sweet wife Claudia passed away this morning at 4:20 a.m. from complications of a stroke she suffered Thursday morning at 8 a.m.

Claudia was my companion for 40 years.  The mother of our children, and my sweetheart.  She was the most kind, gracious, and compasionate person I have ever known.  She always said Thank You, even in the most difficult times--10 years of paralysis, bed ridden, and in a wheelchair.

She died with dignity, and at peace.  It was my privilege to be her husband, to care for her, and to see her through this last trial.  On Wednesday night, she told me that if she were to die, she wanted to do two things:  First, fly to Atlanta Georgia and circle the crib of her new grandson Kyle that she has never seen.  Second, she wanted to twirl in a new spring skirt.

Two hours have elapsed since her passing, and I think that by now, she has done both.

I love her very much, miss her greatly, and look forward to my reunion with her.
