The parents of Thomas D. Ethington and his wife, Margaret D.
Ethington are not
known as of this date.

Letter from son James D. Ethington to HDE dated 13 Apr 1994 states that Thomas
D. Ethington was born in Woodford Co KY and is buried in Owen County.  This
would have to be in error in light of the grave found above by Brian Thomas.
In the family group sheet for Thomas D. Ethington, James states that Thomas was
born in Franklin County.  He was a member of the Baptist church, and during the
1920's, was a preacher.

Maude Belle SANDERS

Per letter from Anna Mae, Maude, Virginia and Anna Mae did not have children.

Letter from Virginia Jewell to HE dated 8 Jul 1979:
 "Maude worked at a telephone exchange.  She took training and bvecame a practical nurse.  Her husband worked at a shoe factory until he became ill.  He was ill for several years, died about 2 years ago.  His name was Omar Ellis. They have no children."

Maud Bell may have been born in Clay Village.


Chester E. ETHINGTON Sr.

Obit obtained from Robert Ethington of Akron Ohio April 1993:

 Chester E. Ethington Sr., 63, of Neola, died Saturday in a car accident.

 Mr. Ethington was born in Nebraska City, Nebl, and moved to Council Bluffs when he was 16.  He retired in 1986 from Omaha Standard After 44 years of service.  He was amember of First Christian Church.

 Other survivors include his wife, Maxine; one son, Chester Jr. of Bentonville, Ark.; two daughters, Linda Johnson of Council Bluffs, and Connie Podraza of Omaha; one sister, Elsie Weldon of Lucrene Valley, California; tow stepsons, Don and Bill Wilson, both of Omaha; three stepdaughters, Shirley Kane of Phoenix Arizona, Linda Andersen of Omaha and Denise Wilson of Council Bluffs; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

 Service will be at 1 pm Wednesday at McCurdy Funeral Chapel.  The rev. Robert O. Boseck of First Christian Church will officiate.
