In the 1840 Henry Co Ky census, page 334 we find America Edrington with four children as follows:
dau born 1835 - 1840
son born 1830 - 1835
dau born 1830 - 1835
dau born 1825 - 1830The parents of America or her spouse are not known at this date.
There is a reference in the census record to Hickman County, but the reason is not understood.
I have received an inquiry from Mrs. Joanne James 4918 S Rock Rd Derby,
Kansas 67037 about an America Jane Etherton/Etherington/Edington born Jan 1826 in Kentucky. America Jane moved to Vigo Co Indiana and lived there with her mother Sarah Ann, and brother William and sister Emma.5 Nov 1989
H.E.America Jane Edrington was married three times. See testimony from Sarah Ann
Reeves (her mother) in America Jane's pension application.In the marriage to Alfred Ragan, America Jane is referred to as Susannah
