 J.T. Ethington dies at 71; rites conducted here Friday

 Funeral service for Mr. John Thomas Ethington, 71, who died last wednesday at his residence here, was held at 2:30 P.M. Friday at Duell's funeral chapel, conducted by Dr. Thomas J. Powers, pastor of the Versailles Baptist church.  Burial was in the Versailles cemetery.

 Mr. Ethington was long active in community life and had many friends.  

 Active pallbears were:  MR. C.V. Wallace, Cecil, Ewing, Walter and Edward Ethington.  Honorary bearers were:  Mr. J.W. McMillen, Mr. Ernest McWilliams, Dr. B.F. Roach, Dr. Francis Willey, Mr. James Alexander, and Mr H.H. Clark.

 Dear one and all of the Ethingtons and all Kin to the Ethingtons is invited
to come to Laubach Hall North of Sequin May 23rd to a Seays and Ethingtons
Reunion.  It is the Seays and Spring Reunion.  Their grandmother was an
Ethington.  Please tell all the relatives and please come if you can. I will be
there and would be so glad to see all.  Tell all of L. F. Ethingtons to come.
