Obit from Flint Journal:
 Ethington.  George F. Ethington, 516 Payne, age 79 died Sunday October 4 1942 at the home of son, Elmer Ethington.  Funeral services will be held 10am Wednesday Oct 7, 1942, from Groves and Co funeral home, Rev Harold Warren officiating.  Burial in Grace Lawn cemetery.  Remains will be at Groves & Co Funeral Home.  Death was caused by cerebral hemorrhage.

 He was born in Kansas, June 15 1863 and had lived in Flint for the last 15 years.

 Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Anthony Fauss, and MRs. James Quinn both of Flint. Three sons, Roy, Troy, and Elmer, all of Flint.  Two brothers, John and David, sister Anna Horman, all of Kansas City;  nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren.

Note:  Wesley is not noted in the funeral record for father George Ethington as living.  That record was created in October of 1942.  It appears that Wesley may have died between the above 1941 City Directlry date, and the October 1942 death of his father.

 Also note that Wesley is incorrectly given as the Father of George Franklin Ethington.  He was in fact his son.

 Ethington.  Wesley H. Ethington 718 E. Witherbee, age 47, died Thursday Jan 8 1942 at the Veteran's Hospital Deerborn.  Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Saturday Jan 10, 1942 From Groves and Co Funeral Home.  Death was caused by complications after an illness of 5 years.

 He was born in Independence MO, and has lived in Flint for the last 22 years.  Was a World War Veteran.

 Surviving are:  Father George, two sisters Mrs Anthony Fauss Mrs. James Quinn, 3 brothers Troy Roy and Elmer, all of Flint.
